War of 1812 pension NOT AVAILABLE (Click here to read why)

War of 1812 pension files are NOT AVAILABLE. 

The good news is that they are in the process of being digitized, and they're almost finished.  They have all been pulled from the shelves at the National Archives until the project is completed.  This means that we don't have access to War of 1812 pension files any longer.  This includes the end of the alphabet-- even the ones that aren't online yet.  These are new rules that the National Archives have recently set in place and are out of control, so we unfortunately can't make any exceptions to this.  

When they're finished they will be on Fold3.com.  Note:  You DO NOT need a subscription to Fold3 in order to view the pension files.  They are available there free of charge.
