Please note:  We do not have access to Confederate pension records.  Those records are kept at the state archives instead of the National Archives.  Please use this link to help find those records.  As much as we would like to be able to help you get Confederate records, we are limited to what's at the National Archives, so we can't help with those.  Please do not submit requests for Confederate pensions. 

Finally, please be specific in your question.  Please include the name of your soldier and regiment, if possible. 

For example, instead of asking "My ancestor's pension application was denied, will there still be a file for him?"  Instead ask "My ancestor, John Smith of the 13th Wisconsin Infantry applied for a pension and was denied..."  In many cases, the only way to answer your question is to check the indexes, so without a name or other specifics, it's difficult to answer the question.   Thanks!
