Indian War Pension File
Indian War Pension File
The United States was involved in numerous Indian Wars throughout its history. Many of the soldiers who fought in these battles in the 1800s were entitled to pensions from the federal government.
The pension files usually tell information about his service in the war, his life after the war, and details about his family. They are usually between 50-100 pages long. These are available for soldiers of most of the wars that were fought in the 1800s.
