Win a FREE set of Civil War Records from the National Archives!

Happy New Year!
In case you're new here, we provide on site research and record retrieval at the National Archives in Washington DC. Our team is onsite at the National Archives almost every day, and have access to all of the amazing records that aren't online. We provide a quicker and more affordable alternative to getting your ancestors' military records in your hands.
It's time for our annual New Year's giveaway! We're offering the chance for you to get a complete set of Civil War records for the Union Soldier of your choice for FREE!
The terms and conditions:
- One entry per person please!
- We unfortunately don't have access to Confederate records, so this offer is for Union soldiers only.
- This free prize cannot be applied to a previous order and can only be redeemed for the record(s) that you were chosen to receive.
- Entries must be received by 7 pm EST on January 8, 2026 to be eligible.
- Prizes must be redeemed within 30 days of the initial announcement being sent to you.
- By entering, you're agreeing to receive periodic emails from us. We will never sell your information to other companies.
- Should you win the drawing, we can't guarantee results if we are given limited information on your soldier to start with. The basic information you're expected to provide would be the soldier's name and regiment.
- This prize is for record retrieval services only. We can do basic searches in the indexes if necessary, but we can't do research beyond that as part of the free prize.
- You must have a soldier in mind. We won't do blind searches for the names of your ancestors in the hopes that they may have been in the Civil War as part of the free prize.
- There are a small number of Civil War files that are online already. If you choose a soldier in that category, we may not be able to access all of the original records. If that's the case, we won't be able to substitute those records. (You can view the originals online though!)
- This prize is for a free Civil War file that is available in Washington DC. The first 250 pages will be digitized free of charge. If the file is larger than 250 pages, or if it is in St. Louis, there will be additional charges incurred. In rare cases, the pension file might not be available in Washington DC. If that's the case, we won't be able to retrieve that file for you as part of the free prize.
