We're hiring!
Civil War Records is a small but growing company, dedicated to helping researchers get their ancestor's military records from the National Archives in their hands. Our tag line, "We to go DC so you don't have to" sums up our business model.
A part time research assistant is responsible for going on site to the National Archives on a weekly basis, locating the documents for the correct soldier, digitizing the documents, and submitting them online.
This is a ten to fifteen hour per week position, with no evenings or weekends. Most of the work will be done on site at the National Archives, but some duties, such as prep work and submitting the digitized images, could also be completed from home.
Onsite work days and hours are flexible, but must be within the business hours of the National Archives in Washington DC (Monday through Friday, 9-5).
