UPDATE on 20 June 2022 THE NATIONAL ARCHIVES HAVE REOPENED! I've reactivated the ability to order directly through the website

Enter to win your ancestor's Union Army Civil War pension file!

The National Archives have reopened, and we're back in business!  We are onsite at the National Archives in Washington DC, and provide a quicker and cheaper alternative to ordering your ancestors' military records.  We've helped hundreds of people get these records already, so we're excited to be back!

To celebrate our reopening, we're giving you the chance the get your ancestors' records.  Covid shutdowns prevented us from conducting our annual giveaway in January, so we're going to do it in July instead!

The drawing will take place on Saturday, July 2.  There will be two winners, picked at random from all qualifying entries.

First prize:  One Civil War pension file from the National Archives, retrieved, digitized, and delivered FREE of charge

Second prize: Half off of the regular retrieval fees for a Civil War pension at the National Archives

There are a couple terms and conditions, so here you go:

1.  This can't be applied to any previous order

2.  This in no way can be redeemed for cash or any monetary value

3.  The National Archives only has Union Army records, so we don't have access to Confederate pensions there

4.  By entering the drawing, you agree to receive periodic emails from CivilWarRecords.com (no more than a couple times per month, we promise!)  You can unsubscribe at any time.

5.  One entry per person please!

You aren't required to give information about the soldier you're looking for at this point.  All we really need is your name and email.  Anything else is optional.

Good luck!
